About the Artist:
Bachelor of Fine-Art, Painting from Colorado State University

Taylor Gallegos is a painter whose work explores the interplay between perception, symbolism, and human connection. His practice is rooted in a visual language of layered brushwork and fluid form, where questions become catalysts for reflection and discovery. From an early age, Gallegos viewed painting as both meditation and dialogue—an evolving process that blurs the boundary between the physical and the philosophical.

His work frequently returns to themes of inquiry and perspective: how the act of asking shapes understanding, and how uncertainty can lead to deeper truths. In What’s in a Question?, his solo exhibition at Hotwater Gallery, Gallegos presented a body of work that transforms curiosity into visual form. Each canvas operates as both mirror and portal, inviting viewers into spaces of contemplation where answers are less important than the questions themselves.
